Yoga Teacher Training

School Mission

The journey from yoga student to yoga teacher can be exciting and a little scary. Finding the right teacher training program takes time and research, only you can decide which program is right for you. If you want to just dive deeper into your knowledge of yoga, or your dream is to become a teacher, inspire others through your own teaching style then this is the training for you.

Our 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Training program will provide you the knowledge and tools to assist you with leading a safe, fun and effective yoga class. Our training goes in depth about yoga postures or asanas, allowing time for conversation and self exploration of these poses. We have an intense focus on class sequencing, posture/ asana analysis, verbal cueing and hands on assisting. We have designed the content of the program to be fluid, making connections with movement to the study of the body.

During our program, we will also discuss the history, philosophy, anatomy, subtle energy bodies (Chakras, Nadis etc) and business aspects of yoga. The strength of this program will be practice teaching, self study, group discussion and identifying your brand as a teacher! Our program will tap into your creativity, passion and self expression from a place of authenticity. This program is designed to be intensive, providing you with the knowledge to develop and lead any style of yoga class for students of all levels.

By the end of our program, you will:

  • Sequence in a creative and intelligent way with smooth transitions

  • Anatomy focused on the Musculoskeletal system and its application in yoga postures

  • Learn the core alignment for traditional yoga postures

  • Develop a greater understanding for the breath to movement connection, including basic breathing exercises to integrate into your classes

  • Learn the basics of verbal cueing to create clear and safe yoga classes

  • The 8 limbs of yoga and other basic yoga philosophy

The Yoga Loft is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Alliance School.  On top of hours in training you will have homework and be required to take yoga classes on your own.
